Usually a sequal falls under the curse and is never as good as the first. Only a few are lucky and this one is one of them. The Spy Who Shagged Me is bigger and funnier than its predecesor. So some of the laughs are rehashed from the first one but there are new jokes that are just hilarious. New characters like fat bastard and Mini-Me add something completly new. Also this film took the Austin Powers franchise in a whole new direction. The first one was mostly just about an aging hipster but this one makes the franchise into a time travelling spy. Cool but maybe a little crazy. Other than that it totally adds to the franchise and makes an excellent sequal.

One of my favorite movies of all time! This beats out the original Austin Powers! More laughs through out the movie, and we get to know Dr Evil a lil better too!

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, shocked me. Not because it was bad, but because it was so much funnier than the first. Mike Myers is a genius in this movie, and it's proven in the first ten minutes that he is the funniest thing from Canada. What I didn't like about this movie, is that it relies to heavily on jokes that were already used in the first movie, but they still made me laugh, so that's not such a bad thing. Overall, one of the better movies of 1999.

lol this is one hell of a funny movie i can't belive how much i was laughing it's an excellent way 2 end 1999 and bring on 2000 actully right now this is 2005 and i haven't seen it scince it came in theaters 1999 but i just saw it a little hwile ago on the superstation so i guess i saw it again yesterday now the story i have 2 give credit cuz it was defintly an improvement on the oringinal the acting was oscar worthy it was so good everybody acted so funny the direction was once again outstanding the visuals i didn't like in the first one 2 much but in this their actully good for a comedy thats supposed 2 be weird and stupid like this anyway overall this is defintly oscar worthy but 2 bad it didn't win any oscars

This was the best of the three AP movies that I have seen. My son has the whole movie memorized he likes it so much. Yea Baby!

I think the second out beats the first one because I love the part where Austin Powers meets himself and the part where he fights Mini-me. Those scenes are my favorites, they make me laugh so much, the second is my favorite out of all the Austin Powers movies.

After this I asked myself how they thought of some of this stupid stuff that made me laugh uncontrollably, and that is a question I will never find out. Anyways, the second Austin power is just as funny if not better. Dr. Evil returns and so does Powers with the old gang and more. Acting was done very well and the introduction of ? mini me? was awesome and added to the movie that much more. See it see it see it, is all I can say, and why not buy it so you can have one of the funnies movies of all time.
